New Desktop Checklist

Similar to the list of things I need to do to set up a server, setting up a desktop system is relatively simple (especially now that I’ve created a script that does a lot of it for me). Below is a list of basic things I do when setting up a new Debian system on one of my laptop or desktop computers:








Unfortunately the setup script which does the hard work for me doesn’t work for non-Debian systems, but right now Debian is the only distribution I use full-time. If I switch to Alpine or Gentoo then I’ll make and post scripts for those too.
